Born and raised in the soporific suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts, Ursula Wing is a visual artist and interactive developer working in a variety of media at a time when the versatility of the digital realm has all but entirely erased the divisions between them. Influences include The Brothers Quay, Tim Burton, Frida Kahlo, Aubrey Beardsley, Mark Tansey, Mel Ramos, Louise Nevelson, Andy Warhol, and Rene Magritte, among others.
Since receiving her B.S. (and that's no joke!:-) in Communications from NYU, she has worked professionally as a graphic & web designer, animator and illustrator in New York, while focusing independently in more recent years on photography and painting.
During a short span of three fateful weeks in September 2001, Ursula left her job at Bluesky Studios and attended her first Burning Man, returning to NY in time to watch the World Trade Center towers collapse; She decided it was time to move to Europe. She moved to Holland in March of 2003, and currently divides her time between Europe and the US, working primarily out of her studio in Amsterdam (physically), in various locations (virtually).
